How To Root Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F

 

March 27, 2014 Samsung recently launched Samsung Galaxy S5, which is an upgrade over previous Galaxy S4. If you are a power user, then you must be interested in rooting your Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F. So here is an easy step by step tutorial for you to root Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy S5 comes preinstalled with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, which is the latest Android OS version till date. 

 

WARNING : Rooting will void your phone’s warranty. Please proceed on your own risk. We are NOT responsible or liable for any damage caused to your device. 

 

Before rooting your Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F, you should know the following things: Rooting the device WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. 

Backup your data and other important things from your phone via Ultimate Backup Tool. Make sure your phone has enough battery, we recommend you to charge your phone to atleast 60%. 

 

Enable USB debugging from Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Root Samsung Galaxy S5 S5 G900F Android 4.4.2 Kitkat Download ROOT file for Samsung Galaxy S5, according to your model number from below. 

 

SM-G900F (International Qualcomm): CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.zip 

SM-G900H (International Exynos): CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.zip 

SM-G900M (Middle and South America?): CF-Auto-Root-klte-klteub-smg900m.zip 

SM-G900R4 (US Cellular): CF-Auto-Root-klteusc-klteusc-smg900r4.zip 

SM-G900T (T-Mobile US): CF-Auto-Root-kltetmo-kltetmo-smg900t.zip 

SM-G900P (Sprint): CF-Auto-Root-kltespr-kltespr-smg900p.zip 

SM-G900T1 (Metro PCS): CF-Auto-Root-kltemetropcs-kltemetropcs-smg900t1.zip 

SM-G900W8 (Canada): CF-Auto-Root-kltecan-kltevl-smg900w8.zip 

 

Download Odin v3.09. Extract the Odin zip file and Root zip file. 

 

Open Odin v3.09 Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons) Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin. Add *.tar.md 5 file (you got after extracting the root files) to AP. 

 

Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked. Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes. 


If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc). Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up). Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)

=>절대 진행하지 말것(문제발생했을 경우만) 

 

Then choose reboot and you are done. You have successfully rooted your Samsung Galaxy S5.
